Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Add Barista ("the platform"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. The platform connects baristas and coffee shops for the purpose of finding work and hiring.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to work in your location. Baristas are responsible for the accuracy of their qualifications, and shop owners are responsible for the accuracy of their job listings.
Your Account & Device
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens from your device and account. Because authentication tokens are stored on your device, do not share your device or leave the platform logged in on shared computers. Log out when you finish, and clear browser data on devices you do not control.
Profiles & Content
You grant the platform a license to display the content you submit (photos, bios, business details, messages) to other users for the purpose of connecting and hiring. You must not post false, misleading, unlawful, or infringing content, and you must not impersonate another person or business.
Connections, Hiring & Fees
A connection request requires a fee, paid through Stripe. The platform facilitates introductions and hiring records but is not a party to any employment agreement between a barista and a shop. Terms of employment (salary, start date, schedule) are agreed directly between you and the other party. Fees paid for connections are generally non-refundable once a request is delivered.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harassing purpose.
- Attempt to bypass fees, payments, or platform safety features.
- Scrape, copy, or resell user data from the platform.
- Interfere with the platform's operation or overload it with automated requests.
Disclaimers
The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that every barista will find work or that every shop will hire. We do not verify every claim in profiles and are not liable for the conduct of users or the outcome of any hiring arrangement. Payment processing is governed by Stripe's own terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the platform's liability is limited to the fees you paid through the platform in connection with the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Changes & Termination
We may update these terms as the platform evolves; continued use after changes means you accept them. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. You may stop using the platform and delete your account at any time.
